Photos of Freshwater Beach

Freshwater Beach is a beautiful beach between Queenscliff and South Curl Curl Beach in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. On the northern side there is a ocean pool and a walking track between the ocean and the green trees and overall is a very photogenic beach.

In 1915 the famous Hawaiian competition swimmer and surfer, Duke Kahanamoku, gave a surfing demonstration at Freshwater Beach which popularised surfing in Australia.

On the south side of the beach is Queenscliff Head which if you're game enough to walk over the large rocks leads around to the Wormhole cave through to Queenscliff although if you want to walk through the Wormhole it's a lot easier to get there from Queenscliff Beach
