Coogee Beach
Coogee is situated between the pathway of Bondi Beach and Maroubra Beach and is a popular beach for families because of it's (usually) calmer conditions than surrounding beaches. Coogee beach is only 8 km away from Sydney’s Central Business District, making it easily accessible by city dwellers and during summer it's a great place to have a swim between the flags. About 800 metres out to sea from Coogee Beach is Wedding Cake Island which protects the beach from a lot of the swells.
