Freshwater with its wide-open salty beaches and quaint little village it’s no surprise it’s one of the best places to live on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The locals of Freshwater have fought hard to keep it as their own little sanctuary and boasts of a long-term and strong-knit community. Otherwise known as ‘Freshie’ to most on the Northern Beaches it certainly has a special feel to it. Whilst not the hustle and bustle of Manly or the surfer vibe of Curl Curl you can’t help but feel you have entered the small country town of the Northern Beaches. You can’t go wrong spending the weekend at Freshie. From popping into the little village for some local shopping to the famous heritage beach house otherwise known as ‘Pilu’ for a John Dory and Prosecco. It also shows off Freshwater's incredible views of towering headlands and spacious waves. Photography at Freshwater often pulls me back as if dragging me with its tide. To host the view of Freshwater Beach on your wall is undoubtedly a work of art.
